BEEF! - Half a Cow
Enjoy approximately 280 pounds of finished local beef butchered to your own specifications. This beef is raised as a calf through to slaughter by Eric Herr of Seven Mile Ranches in Sweet, Idaho.  The mostly grass-fed cow is two years old at slaughter.  During the last five months, it will have been fed a chopped hay, corn, and oats diet for a great tasting meat.  The ranch uses no hormones in the process and antibiotics are used only for therapeutic reasons. The animal has been vaccinated at appropriate intervals as well.  The animal doesn't leave the ranch until it is killed at a USDA inspected plant, and then it will be cut and wrapped per the buyer’s instruction at Don's Meats in Emmett.  They use a vacuum seal process to package the meat.   Make sure your freezer is empty to accommodate this tasty meat!  At least one of our school families has purchased beef from Seven Mile Ranches for several years.

Brich Tree Triptych Wall Art - Art Projects Class Project
The upper school students of Art II and Art Projects worked together to create this beautiful triptych (3-piece) canvas wall-art piece.  The students first taped off where the trees were to be located, and then they did a green-wash of the canvas and added grassy detail.  When the green was fully dry, they removed the tape which revealed the pure white canvas beneath.   Using the edges of corrugated cardboard dipped in a paint mixture, they “scraped” the birch trees into existence.  After painting the sides of the canvas with the same paint mixture, each signed their name on the back of the middle canvas.

Revolving Bookstand - Mrs. Tracy's Class Project
The revolving bookstand, once thought to be a music stand, was probably made to Thomas Jefferson's design and specifications in his Monticello joinery. Constructed of solid walnut, the original cube-shaped stand had five adjustable rests for holding books.  Jefferson may have conveniently placed it next to his chair in his reading-and-writing arrangement in the Cabinet office. It is one of three known "revolving " works made in the joinery. The current revolving bookstand, constructed by Jared Patchin at J. Alexander Fine Woodworking, is constructed from maple and walnut, and includes many of the same details as the original, including the adjustable sides and top, and a revolving base.

Wall Art - Mrs. Moy's Class Project
Time abounds, but is fleeting like a snowflake falling to the warm ground.  It is so beautiful and graceful as is descends, but gone in a moment.  As such, the lives of the precious children we impress upon as they grow are so full of wonderment, beauty, and curiosity.  And though we gaze upon them like a snowflake floating to the ground, our memories fade with time.
This beautiful print, hand-drawn and colored by Mrs. Moy’s precious Kindergarten class, captures the essence of their journey as they learned about birds this year. Framed in by stunning, warm wood tones, this print is a perfect complement for any room.  Beyond the decoration, this print will forever serve as a snapshot in time and you will be able to watch that little snowflake fall to the ground, over and over again. Time will never fade with this art, and each glimpse will bring true joy to your heart.
